To celebrate "Movember" 2012, San Francisco based tie retailer, Bows-N-Ties, takes a look at the best and most stylish mustaches of all time. The site highlights ten different Movember mustache styles, and offers readers simple to follow grooming tips for each one.
“People are going mustache-crazy this month given the fact that it’s ‘Movember,’ so we figured it couldn’t hurt to jump on-board and blog about our favorite mustache styles of all time,” says Bows-n-Ties.com founder Hendrik Pohl. “A lot of people simply don’t consider experimenting with facial hair, which is kind of a shame. On the right person, a mustache can look really good. We wanted to show our readers that there are plenty of different ways to wear a mustache, and doing so doesn’t have to be difficult.”
Each piece in the series highlights the origin and history of a specific style, as well as celebrities who are well-known for having worn in. The pieces also guide readers as to how they might be able to grow each style themselves, as well as incorporate it into their style and build proper ensembles.
“Just learning how to grow a mustache is not enough,” says Pohl. “You’ve got to work towards learning how to wear the mustache with a variety of different ensembles, which is the only way to ensure that it helps push your style in the right direction instead of backwards. We want our readers to come away with the full picture after reading each piece, and perhaps even to take the plunge towards growing a mustache.
Bows-n-Ties.com has published a variety of article series’ focusing on men’s fashion tips in the past, although this is the first time facial hair has been discussed at length. Other series’ focus on celebrity fashion and industry trends.
“We’ve been waiting for a chance to dive deep into facial hair and grooming tips, and it’s finally here,” says Pohl. “I can only hope that these pieces help to inspire in our readers the confidence they need to go out on a limb and take a risk with a mustache. Even those who have never worn facial hair in the past can take a risk if they see fit; it can be a great way to reinvent your style.”
