Earlier this month DaniWeb, Technology Publication meets Social Media, hosted an event in NYC where they placed publishers and advertisers in the same room to make new industry connections. Among the crowd at the DaniWeb “Publishers meet Advertisers Cocktail Mixer” were ad networks, agencies, advertisers, SAAS companies and publishers. DaniWeb thanks those who braved the blizzard that struck NYC just after Hurricane Sandy to attend another successful DaniWeb event. For all those who couldn’t make it, this was just the first networking mixer of many yet to come.
DaniWeb provided color coded name tags for all guests to make everyone visible from across a crowded room. If you were a publisher, you could easily distinguish the advertisers from the crowd. The name tags also made it easier to approach a person that you may otherwise have not. With guests from top ad agencies, along with fairly new publishers and everyone in between, there was a connection to be made for all who attended.
With plans to tone down their usual big NYC parties and create more of a networking atmosphere, DaniWeb plans to become known in the industry for harboring new connections for both well known companies and start-ups alike. With the success of its last event, DaniWeb already has plans for the future that include many more events for professional networking.
