GMO Internet Group company, GMO GameCenter, Inc. announces that this month global membership of its Android™ game platform G-Gee® has exceeded 20 million*. Successful titles that have driven growth of the game platform include DEAD SHOT ZOMBIES which achieved the number one ranking in Google Play’s free game category in the Philippines, Mexico, and Argentina.
G-Gee is a game application platform for Android, that was first launched in Japan by GMO GameCenter in November, 2010. In 2011, the company began expanding G-Gee globally, launching its first titles in the North American market in April, followed by Korea and a further 25 European countries in October of the same year. Today G-Gee games are available in 136 countries.
One year after the service was launched membership had reached 1.11 million, and by seven months later in July 2012, 10 million Android users around the world were playing G-Gee games. Growth has continued to accelerate, and on November 12, 2012 global G-Gee membership hit 20 million.

Further, original G-Gee title, DEAD SHOT ZOMBIES, has reached Google Play’s top 10 ranking in the free games category in eight countries. On October 30, 2012 it was the top ranked free game in the Philippines and on November 2 and November 4, 2012 achieved the number one position in Mexico and Argentina respectively.
First launched in Japan in 2010, and globally the following year, G-Gee is a unique mix of well-known video games, independent developer offerings, and original content, much of which is free. G-Gee distributes over 400 game titles in 136 countries.
