Often I find myself engaged in meaningful conversations within comments but it gets disrupted when other users and comments unrelated to the discussion take up the comment thread

Facebook has confirmed to AllFacebook that they are testing threaded discussions under comments on Pages. Samuel Junghenn founder of Web Marketing Agency Think Big Online says this functionality currently exists on the comments plug in for third-party sites and should be implemented on Facebook itself.
“It’s great to see so many changes from Facebook lately and the latest test on Threaded Discussions should be implemented across all users. It just makes sense to group discussions and conversations in this way.” Said Mr Junghenn
The test by Facebook was found in a Thai Facebook Page called Dora GAG and clearly shows that when someone replies to a previous comment that it is threaded under that comment rather then added as a stand alone comment itself.
This style of comment threading is used [across other social networks and comment plugins so integrating it into Facebook Pages is a logical step which should help users with navigation around comments.
“Often I find myself engaged in meaningful conversations within comments but it gets disrupted when other users and comments unrelated to the discussion take up the comment thread. This new type of threaded discussions should eliminate this and make it easier to engage in meaningful discussion.” Said Mr Junghenn.
