Our partnership with Care Logistics will help us advance our mission to deliver exceptional care by continually improving quality, accessibility, affordability and personal dignity.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 28, 2012
Floyd Medical Center announces a collaboration with Care Logistics® to become the 20th hospital partner to adopt the Hospital Operating SystemTM solution, a combination of innovative logistics software and care coordination redesign proven to dramatically improve hospital operational efficiency. The 10 contracted hospitals already fully operational with the solution have realized more than $120,000,000 in value by collaborating with Care Logistics to establish a comprehensive hospital logistical control system.
“Our partnership with Care Logistics will help us advance our mission to deliver exceptional care by continually improving quality, accessibility, affordability and personal dignity,” said Kurt Stuenkel, President and CEO of Floyd. “Their breakthrough approach will help us better serve our community by further improving the quality of care and the satisfaction of patients and their care providers.”
Care Logistics has created the first logistical control system to manage the movement of patients throughout their hospital stay. The solution has helped partner hospitals absorb increases in demand without sacrificing quality, achieving remarkable and sustainable improvements in patient and staff satisfaction.
“Floyd has a demonstrated commitment to achieving dramatic results,” said Karl Straub, president of Care Logistics. “They embrace innovation and the bold changes necessary to thrive in an environment that is increasingly challenging for care delivery organizations.
Hospitals have achieved dramatic results working with Care Logistics:
- Increase in net operating margin from 1 percent to more than 5 percent
- 25 percent decrease in patient average length of stay
- 49 percent decrease in hospital-acquired infection rates
Care Logistics helps hospitals achieve these dramatic results by creating a culture of efficiency, designing a new patient care coordination model, implementing enterprise logistics software and establishing real-time operational performance management. The result is smoother patient flow that leads to reliable and predictable operational performance.
“Working with Floyd as our 20th hospital partner confirms the value of applying logistical control systems for patient movement in a hospital setting, a unique concept in healthcare that delivers unprecedented financial and operational results,” said Straub.
