Miami, Florida (PRWEB) November 27, 2012
Today Marchesi de' Frescobaldi, one of Italy’s leading family-owned wine companies, celebrates the grand opening of the dei Frescobaldi Miami Beach restaurant. The concept for the restaurant is rooted in a shared Frescobaldi family philosophy that an excellent wine will enhance every dish. The dei Frescobaldi Miami Beach, which is independently owned and operated by Frescobaldi family cousin Piero Benini, offers a wide range of Frescobaldi wines including select vintages and special formats. The menu is based on traditional Tuscan cooking that is characterized by a focus on quality ingredients and seasonal offerings.
“Tuscany elicits a lot of emotions for people the world over, many of which are related to Tuscan food and wine. We’re excited that this restaurant will recreate some of those experiences in the US while also allowing consumers to further their knowledge about true Tuscan gastronomy,” said Mr. Benini.
The menu is guided by Chef Marco de Simone and includes homemade pastas, imported Italian meats and cheeses and signature dishes like Risotto al Nipozzano, a Carnaroli rice cooked with Nipozzano Chianti Rufina, Fontina cheese fondue and Grana Padano crunch with red wine reduction with chocolate. While holding no actual ownership in the restaurant, the entire Frescobaldi family is excited about what this establishment will mean to further the appreciation for Tuscan cooking in South Florida.
The dei Frescobaldi Miami Beach property follows a series of other successful Frescobaldi restaurant operations under the dei Frescobaldi umbrella. The restaurant and wine bar concept launched inside Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, eventually growing to three total locations inside terminals 1B, 3C and 3H. Expansion continued in 2002 with the opening in Florence’s historic city center followed by the first property abroad, which opened in November 2009 in the famed Harrods London.
