Private equity firm 1188 Investimentos acquires minority stake in HANZO

Investment will accelerate company’s growth and help evolve company’s Platform for next generation mobile technology.

The private equity firm 1188 Investimentos has acquired a minority stake in HANZO, a leading Brazilian mobile marketing and mobile media company.

1188 Investimentos specializes in digital enterprises: communication companies with a strong technology background. Ricardo Carelli, managing partner of 1188 Investimentos, will take a seat on the company's board.

“We are enthusiastic about the deal”, says HANZO CEO Federico Pisani Massamormile. “This investment will help HANZO strengthen sales force, extend HANZO´s Proprietary Platform beyond SMS to embrace smart phones and accelerate growth”.

Pisani expects to triple revenues in the next two years by growing both organically and through acquisitions.
