The Majestic Train de Luxe from the Luxury Train Club has announced new capacity on their Imperial New Year journey around Vienna.
This will be an evening to remember and a remarkable way to celebrate the dawning of 2013, circling Vienna, the city of light and of waltzes, of past glories and present celebrations.
"A Viennese New Year on the Majestic Train de Luxe in the style of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, with the music of Strauss and fine dining served by uniformed stewards - the words alone conjure a fantastical evening," says Fay Lejeune of the Luxury Train Club.
The elegance of evening dress lends to this magical evening, with a multi-course gala dinner whilst we circumnavigate Vienna, to the accompaniment of Strauss waltzes.
The Majestic stops on a bridge over the Danube, just before the clocks chime midnight and ring in the New Year, to watch the fantastic firework displays in the skies of this wonderful Austrian city.
Then, as the train travels back to Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof, a traditional goulash soup and Sacherwürstel (traditional sausage) is served.
Meanwhile in the Piano Bar, live music is played so that one can dance in the wonderfully atmospheric surroundings of this classic train.
