According to a study conducted by LifeWay Research, almost 80 percent of churchgoers have a very low level of actual engagement with the Bible. Pastor Ted Rouse makes it easier for readers to understand and incorporate the Bible into their everyday life with his new book, “The High-Definition King James Version of the New Testament.” In the book, Rouse replaces confusing vernacular and sentence structure with modern language and definitions of the words of the scripture built into the body of the text.
The goal, Rouse says, is to provide readers with an unbiased, very clear presentation of God’s Word.
“I want the New Testament to be as clear as can be in order to alleviate all the misconceptions and misinterpretations that arise when people don’t understand what God has really revealed,” Rouse says. “The book brings this message by simply using the actual definitions of the Bibles own words without compromising any of the truth.”
As a pastor for over 30 years, Rouse has ministered to many people who have sought help in applying the Bible’s messages to everyday life. In addition to his background in the ministry, Rouse spent four years researching and compiling the book, which provides the English and Greek definitions for almost every word in the New Testament.
Rouse hopes that translating the truth this way will help Christians around the world familiarize themselves with the Bible and its message.
“By simply giving the definitions of words, I am bringing the life-changing Word of God without any mixture from man,” Rouse says. “It would be very beneficial for every person to have a copy of this high-definition version of God’s Word for an unbiased and clear presentation of His message.”
