Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
eTERA Consulting, nominated by the National Law Journal as the nation’s top eDiscovery services provider and end-to-end litigation consulting firm who specializes in helping Fortune 1000 companies and the Am Law 100 overcome the costs and budget challenges of managing large volumes of data and electronic discovery, today announced two client success stories that demonstrate how its unique Intell1gent One offering achieves significant eDiscovery cost savings for corporate and law firm clients.
“We are committed to accomplishing significant eDiscovery cost savings for clients as shown in our success stories,” said Todd Haley, eTERA’s Vice President of eDiscovery. “Our success stories demonstrate why Intell1gent One is an effective solution for helping clients solve complex eDiscovery and data management challenges while achieving ROI.” eTERA’s Intell1gent One combines dynamic data metrics reporting with a transparent electronic data reduction process that provides clients with input and insight into the overall effectiveness of data filtering. Intell1gent One is designed to allow clients to “see” the process and tweak eTERA’s data filtering system to eliminate up to 95% of the data prior to document review resulting in significant savings.
eTERA helps large pharmaceutical company reduce e-discovery costs by over $2,000,000
eTERA’s client was faced with an extremely short, court imposed deadline, terabytes of data to process, and the requirement that multiple outside law firms had to review different aspects of the same data set. eTERA performed an assessment of the data through data sampling to determine the best approach for filtering. eTERA provided a single-use repository in which all of the counsel could run searches on the data and receive different production sets depending on their specific needs. In less than one month, eTERA was able to process over 5 terabytes of data and provide specific and different load files for each outside counsel without processing the same data multiple times. Through eTERA’s intelligent use of technology, the client was able to meet tight deadlines, provide all necessary data to outside counsel, and save $2.4 million dollars by using data sampling and data repurposing to their advantage.
eTERA helps AM LAW 100 client who is a world leader in specialty materials reduce review time by 4 weeks saving over $100,000 in labor costs
eTERA’s client was tasked with accomplishing the impossible having hundreds of thousands of documents to review in a short time period. To add to the challenge, eTERA’s client needed to compare the new collection against previously produced data and categorize the documents into easily digestible components. Through the Intell1gent One process and reporting, eTERA helped the client analyze, identify, cluster, and review only relevant data that had not been previously produced. eTERA also used predictive coding to help the client quickly analyze thousands of documents. The client easily identified the relevant data early in the process, increased reviewer’s rate from 50 to 110 documents per hour, and reduced review time from 5 weeks to 5 days with reported savings of over $100,000 in labor costs.
“To help our clients see the value and benefits of Intell1gent One, we provide them with a virtual tour in advance of engagements” added Mr. Haley. “The virtual tours promote transparency in our processes and establish trust and confidence with clients. Our bottom line is to help attorneys and litigation support professionals leverage the reporting tools and technology available to them in order to make smart EDD business decisions.” Mr. Haley also commented that “the release of Intell1gent One 2.0 is expected in January 2013.”
