Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
The Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers hosted a Patient Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 9th at Eagle Lake Park in Largo, Fl. This is to be the first of many annual events that the centers have scheduled including a golf tournament in the spring. They had an excellent turnout with almost two hundred patients showing up to enjoy a day at the park.
The patients were first greeted at a check-in table by the helpful staff from the Arthritis Research Institute of America who were giving out goody baskets and raffle tickets to each patient as they arrived.
The friendly staff of the Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers had set up several games and activities including a bean bag toss game and horseshoes as well as an abundance of food and drinks for the patients to enjoy.
Orthopedic surgeons Dr. Hayter and Dr. Amundaray both spoke to the crowd and the center’s founder, Dr. Barrett, made a speech as well. The patients enjoyed a fun-filled day and relished in the opportunity to share stories with others that have been through similar treatments and surgeries.
“We were very pleased to see the outstanding turnout of patients and how much they all really enjoyed our first annual Patient Appreciation Day” stated Mariellen Murray, Chief Operating Officer at The Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers.
The event was wrapped up with a raffle where the Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers’ patients were able to win prizes from bottles of wine to a $50 gift card to Bonefish Grill. Pictures of the Patient Appreciation Day are online for viewing on their blog at http://fla-ortho.com.
The Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers’ first annual Patient Appreciation Day was an enormous success and the staff is looking forward to the many annual events they are gearing up for. The patients enjoyed food, drinks, games, activities, speeches from their doctors and a multi-prize raffle.
