Faiza Seth, Founder and CEO of bespoke luxury interior design and architecture firm Casa Forma, has been appointed as the founding committee member of the South Asian Acquisition Committee (SAAC) of Tate Museum United Kingdom on October 1st, 2012.

Tate, founded in 1897, is a network of four museums; it is an institution that houses the United Kingdom's national collection of British Art, and International Modern and Contemporary Art dating from 1500 to the present day. According to BBC, Tate is the world's 5th most visited Museum with over 4.8 million visitors in 2011 first opening its doors to the public in 1897. Today it has four major sites and 70,000 artworks.

The Committee is chaired by Lekha Poddar, founder and president of Devi Art Foundation, who is the daughter of the legendary Indian businessman, G.P Birla. Sir Nicholas Serota, director of Tate has officially announced the formation of three new Acquisition Committees including the South Asian Acquisition Committee on November 1 at a press conference in London. The newly formed Committee will focus on increasing the representation of artists from the South Asian Region and enhancing Tate's existing collection of South Asian Art.

Faiza Seth launched luxury award-winning interior design business Casa Forma in 2007, and in 2010 founded charity Soham for Kids, a free school for underprivileged children in Hyderabad. She moved to Chicago from India as a child and studied economics at Northwestern University. She began her career at Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong, before taking an MBA at Stanford.
