MySchoolSwap.com, a new classified advertising network that donates 50 percent of its paid advertising revenue to schools across the country, will increase donations to 75 percent of all December ad sales as a special holiday promotion. In the spirit of giving, this promotion encourages parents, families and small businesses to donate to any school they choose with basic classified advertising.
A simple ad to sell a household item, list a home for sale or promote a professional service can now also benefit any preschool through high school in the United States. New members choose a school to support when they join MySchoolSwap. If a school is not in the database, it can be added. Any school or organization dedicated to the enrichment of children is eligible to receive funds once approved.
Members then buy credits securely through PayPal with a PayPal account or any major credit card and apply them when posting their own basic or sponsored ads. Credits are $1 dollar each—basic ads are 1 credit—and they can be bought in quantity and stored to use later. Credits sales are calculated and for the promotion, schools will earn 75 percent of December credit sales.
Ad listings appear on individual School Pages which provide the benefit of a local and targeted audience for promotion and exchanges—yet each listing also gets national exposure. The MySchoolSwap friendly interface is designed for a family audience and does not include categories like Personals.
To demonstrate the potential, if a member buys $20 dollars in credits, their school would earn $15 dollars. If 50 people buy $20 dollars in credits and support the same school, it would earn $750 dollars. If 1,000 schools nationwide participate at the same level, our schools would earn $750,000 dollars.
School fundraising groups can take advantage of this offer by promoting MySchoolSwap to their school community and encouraging participation in December. Schools are not required to sign up, checks are distributed automatically once supporters are established through credit sales. MySchoolSwap does offer a free School Enrollment Program which provides added features like customized messaging and marketing materials as well as specific group payment designation like PTO or Booster Club.
