GPS Source announces the production release of GLI-FLO, a ruggedized GPS hub built for military ground platforms. GLI-FLO distributes secure GPS data (IS-GPS-153 compliant) to a mix of communication, control and ISR equipment. Navigation computers, Blue Force Tracking equipment, tactical radios and other GPS enabled equipment can all plug into a single device and receive secure GPS data. GLI-FLO is a significant step toward VICTORY compliance in GPS Signal Distribution (Single PNT Distribution Point).
Robert Horton, CEO of GPS Source, said “We are constantly collaborating with customers and partners to minimize technology gaps. Having the ability to receive and distribute GPS data without using multiple antennas and multiple secure receivers has been one of those glaring gaps. GLI-FLO is an affordable, SWaP optimized solution, which addresses the challenge of secure GPS signal distribution (position, navigation and timing data) with one smart device. It is an affordable answer for upgrade programs designed to bring modernized communications and networking equipment to the vehicle.”
GLI-FLO is available in two configurations. The first includes an integrated secure GPS receiver. The second will require an existing DAGR, as GLI-FLO will tether to the DAGR and utilize the DAGR’s secure internal receiver. By tethering to the existing DAGR product, it will be available at a lower price point. Both will mimic AN/PSN-13A DAGR output data and fully support IS-GPS-153. Designed for ease of use and affordability, they have the same form factor as the DAGR and utilize the same cabling and brackets.
