"When 'Katie' producers invited me on the show to pitch HOT GIRLS PEARLS a la 'Shark Tank,' I told them, 'I know how to do that. I practiced for it last Spring!' "
NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) December 07, 2012
HOT GIRLS PEARLS, the popular first-of-its-kind line of freezable jewelry, will have its moment to shine on ABC's "Katie" at 3 p.m. EST on Friday, December 7, 2012. Joining a select group of fellow inventors, Hot Girls Pearls creator Constance Sherman will pitch her pearls in the vein of the popular TV show "Shark Tank". A panel, including Lori Granier from that show, will choose a winner on this segment called "Why Didn't I think of That?"
This segment features innovative products that solve real-world problems. Clearly, Hot Girls Pearls meets the criteria. These cooling gel filled pearls effectively and fashionably stop overheating-a real world problem for women with hot flashes due to menopause and other causes (from hormone replacement therapies to treatments for lupus to athletic exertion to summer heat).
Like any great invention, Hot Girls Pearls were born from necessity. Unbearable hot flashes during menopause left Sherman feeling so uncomfortable she felt like "wearing an ice cube." She knew many other women also felt this way, so she decided to do something about it. Sherman created he first fashionable cooling jewelry line, which launched in July 2011.
Hot Girls Pearl are currently available in bracelets and three different-length necklaces made up of over-sized faux pearls that are filled with a cooling gel that gets icy cold in the freezer. As a result, wearing the jewelry dramatically lowers one's body temperature, thus providing relief from hot flashes and overheating for whatever reason. The jewelry is available in White, Blush Pink and Gunmetal, and each has a convenient magnetic clasp for easy fastening. An accompanying Travel Purse with Icepack is also available for storing and keeping the pearls cold when not in use.
Since their inception, Hot Girls Pearls have had many "why didn't I think of that?" moments. They have also had a previous "Shark Tank" moment.
"When 'Katie' producers invited me to come on the show and pitch Hot Girls Pearls a la 'Shark Tank,' I told them, 'Oh, I know how to do that. I practiced last Spring!" laughed Sherman, who auditioned for the Fall 2012 season of the ABC insanely popular reality series. Although she wasn't chosen to be on that show, Sherman says it was a great experience and good practice for her upcoming television pitching debut.
Additionally, Hot Girls Pearls have received significant recognition, not just from the women who buy and love them, but from the media as well as they have been featured on "The View", the "Today Show", and the "Oprah Magazine."
"I am so excited to appear on 'Katie' and pitch my pearls in front of millions of viewers," Sherman said, grabbing a Hot Girls Pearls necklace. "If ever there was a time that I'll need to keep cool and look hot, this is it."
Make sure to check your local listings and tune in to "Katie" on Friday, December 7th, 2012 at 3 p.m. EST. This show will have you wondering, "Why didn't I think of that?"
