It was always hard to find a shirt that fit the way it should. Fürst designed a shirt that fits broad shoulders but also has a tapered waist that accommodates an active, fit person.

Most t-shirts didn’t fit right. It seemed impossible to find a shirt that fit tall, athletically built guys. Shirts were either too large or too tight. They were either blasted with graphic designs or simply cost too much. After a few conversations it was decided that something must be done. From that came Fürst, a clothing company for active men founded by George, Justin, and Zack Bennitt.
“It was always hard to find a shirt that fit the way it should,” says George Bennitt. “There are few options for people who are over six feet tall and work out regularly. People who fit these characteristics are forced to buy clothes that are overly baggy or too snug. Fürst designed a shirt that fits broad shoulders but also has a tapered waist that accommodates an active, fit person.”
Beyond the fit, Fürst is committed to using high quality materials that are sourced and made in America. Every component of a Fürst shirt comes from American companies, from the cotton to the tags and labels.
“The fit was crucial to the concept but it was important for the shirts to be made in America,” explains Zack Bennitt. “It was integral for Fürst to be a part of the American-made legacy. Fürst’s American-made products signify top-notch quality.”
The shirts are made from Supima® cotton, an abbreviation for Superior Pima. Pima cotton is an extra-long staple cotton that is grown in the southwest U.S. It is a strong, durable cotton that is also soft to the touch. Fürst shirts come in two styles, crew neck and V-neck. All crew necks are made from 100% Supima® cotton while V-necks come in two varieties, 100% Supima® cotton and a 50/50 blend of Supima® cotton and micro modal.
“Supima® became the key material for the shirts after months of researching and testing various cottons,” says Justin Bennitt. “The softness of the cotton allowed the shirt to be extremely comfortable, but its strength ensured that each shirt could stand up to everyday wear and tear. The 50/50 blend matches the softness and durability of the 100% Supima® and provides a vintage look.”
There are a total of 13 colors for the present collection and each shirt is $25.00. All shirts are available for purchase at http://www.furstapparel.com. Visit and “like” the official Fürst Facebook page to stay up to date on the latest news and product offerings.
