St Albans: Figures in the recently-released Duport Business Confidence Report for St Albans show a rise in the percentage of female director appointments during the third quarter of this year.
Between July and September, 35% of director appointments were women, compared to 32% during the same period in 2011. The report also shows that female director appointments have been rising steadily in St Albans since 2009.
Not only are female directors on the rise, company formations are increasing too, suggesting St Albans is remaining resilient in the face of difficult economic conditions. According to the report, the third quarter of the year saw more new company registrations than any other third quarter on record for the city.
