Andrew Hawley, from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for original Bob Dylan/Joan Baez 1965 Public Auditorium Portland, Oregon concert posters. “This was Dylan's first time playing the Portland area and only one of a few shows that Dylan and Baez were billed together to play. Bob Dylan and Joan Baez did a duet at the Monterrey Pop Festival in 1963 and became the King and Queen of folk music in American. This was a huge endorsement of Dylan by Baez an established folk music start in the early 1960s. By 1965, the roles had been reversed. This poster uses a simple black and white photo of Dylan and Baez singing with the concert information presented at the bottom of the poster.”
Hawley adds, “The poster measures approximately 14x22 inches and was made of a thin cardboard stock. It was printed locally and approximately 300 were printed up for both the Portland and Seattle Dylan and Baez shows. Both concerts were put on by Northwest Releasing who was responsible for bringing many of the top 1960s acts such as Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin to the Northwest.”
Hawley is willing to pay $5,000 cash for the original 1965 Portland or Seattle Bob Dylan/Joan Baez concert posters or any other original 1962-1966 Bob Dylan boxing style concert posters. Please call 310-346-1965 or email andrew (at) vintageconcertposterbuyer.com.
