Ansafone Contact Centers announced today that it will celebrate the opening of its newest call center, located in downtown Ocala, Florida. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 13th at their new 20,026sq ft state-of-the-art facility.

Through a partnership created by the City of Ocala’s Municipal Development Office, the Ocala/Marion County Economic Development Corporation, along with Marion County, also including The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Florida Workforce Connections, and Ansafone itself, the Call Center has pledged to bring some 300 new jobs to the City of Ocala. Ocala is supporting the partnership with business incentives to bring jobs to the local community. In a unanimous vote, the Ocala City Council approved the partnership with Ansafone and it fully supports Ansafone Contact Centers initiatives in becoming a part of the rejuvenation of the City of Ocala’s downtown area.    

According to Marc Mondell, Ocala’s Executive Director of Municipal Development, “In this current economic climate it’s difficult for the public sector and corporations acting alone to accomplish large scale goals like community revitalization and job creation. Working together with Ansafone, the City of Ocala has been able to repurpose important downtown real estate, create new jobs, and boost the economy of the region.”
