Norwegian American Hospital, a Chicago-based acute care facility, has selected WoundRounds® to automate its wound care management and risk prevention process. Using WoundRound’s point-of-care technology, nurses enter wound data at the bedside to generate electronic wound documentation and automatic reports.
Norwegian American uses MediTech for their Electronic Medical Record (EMR). An ADT feed is part of the planned integration between the EMR and the WoundRounds clinical data.
According to Tim Egan, Vice President & Executive Director of the Norwegian American Hospital Foundation, “WoundRounds is the best in class of reporting devices and our team is thrilled that Norwegian American Hospital is the first safety-net hospital to implement this technology.”
WoundRounds CEO Mike Diamond says, “The partnership of WoundRounds and Norwegian American Hospital allows both organizations to achieve shared goals of improving wound outcomes and enhancing patient quality of life.” Diamond adds, “Norwegian American is also our neighbor and we’re excited to further expand the reach of WoundRounds in the greater Chicagoland area.”
WoundRounds is the point-of-care wound management & prevention solution that empowers nurses to deliver better wound care in less time. Users of WoundRounds report time savings, reduction in facility-acquired pressure ulcers, lower wound care costs, decreased rehospitalizations, and reduced risk and liability. In short, WoundRounds helps healthcare providers do more with less. http://www.woundrounds.com
