SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) December 13, 2012
Voalte’s founder and Vice President of Innovation Trey Lauderdale was honored by the Governor of Florida Monday for his role in helping transform clinical communications.
Voalte, a leader in clinical communications technology at the point of care, proudly announced that Lauderdale earned the prestigious Governor’s Innovators in Business Award for “Innovators Under 40” in 2012. The awards program, sponsored this year by Bank of America, Florida Trend magazine and Enterprise Florida on behalf of Governor Rick Scott, recognizes Florida companies and business leaders who made outstanding contributions to the state’s economic growth.
Lauderdale founded Voalte in 2008 to replace antiquated clinician communication tools such as voice badges, pagers and bulky telephones with smartphone technology. Joined by serial entrepreneur and former Apple and Microsoft executive Rob Campbell, who serves as Voalte’s CEO, Lauderdale was instrumental in growing the company from a four-person startup to a thriving Sarasota-based business that employs more than 50 professionals providing 24/7 service to healthcare organizations nationwide.
“Trey is an incredibly talented entrepreneur,” said Campbell. “His creativity and drive positioned Voalte for strong early growth, and his passion for delivering exceptional customer service through innovation have been key factors in our ability to achieve marketplace leadership in mobile healthcare in just a few years. Trey’s unique vision and revolutionary approach are instrumental in our continued success.”
Prior to founding Voalte, Lauderdale achieved success with numerous companies, including FP&L, where he was involved in process improvement and reliability planning. He held sales and development leadership roles at Siemens and served as an area sales manager at Emergin, covering the state of Florida, and later as regional sales manager for the Southeast. Lauderdale holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s in entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.
“Winning the Governor’s Innovators under 40 Award is a huge honor,” said Lauderdale. “I’m grateful to Governor Scott and Enterprise Florida for the recognition. I’m also incredibly grateful to the entire Voalte team and accept this award on their behalf.”
