Trevor Gillham, the owner of MyPropertyForSale.co.uk the leading online estate agents has released figures for the amount of enquiries his website receives from the top portal websites.
Rightmove, Zoopla, FindaProperty and PrimeLocation.
The business model is very similar to a high street agent but the vendors of the properties do the viewings themselves, this is not to be confused with private house sales where the vendor simply places an advert on a website and handles all the call and email themselves. The following is based on property sales and not rentals.
MyPropertyForSale.co.uk have been tracking all the data and will be following up with new press releases so everyone can see the real figures every month. The figures shown are based on an average of 450 properties listed.
Lets first take the largest UK property website Rightmove.co.uk

Total properties brought to market were just 66 compared to last year which resulted in 122 new properties being marketed.
The figures above show that Rightmove.co.uk really does bring in the most enquiries and is definitely the site to have your property listed on. It is also the most expensive website for agents to list on. High street agents have a basic membership where they can list 100 properties for sale, online agents pay the same fee but can only list 50 properties, so they are charging double the price. TDPG have alot of work to do catching up, this would mean more advertising which in turn means increased costs for high street agents and online estate agents, MyPropertyForSale.co.uk have already had a 33% increase added in the last quarter.
