We are committed to healing the cats and kittens we rescue in the greatest ways we can, and are grateful to everyone who commits to this project for supporting our work.

Blaine, WA (PRWEB) December 12, 2012

Eva’s Eden, the unique and beautiful cage free cat rescue shelter in Blaine, Washington, announces the launch of the “100 at 20” Fundraising Campaign. By December 31st, Eva’s Eden is asking 100 donors to sponsor the shelter by committing $20 a month for six months. Eva's Eden is a non-profit registered 501(c)(3) and functions solely off of donations from the public to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out the hundreds of cats they take in each year.

Launched in March 2011, Eva’s Eden’s cage free concept is unique amongst cat shelters, and the model has taken the community by storm. All cats and kittens in the program are housed in foster homes where they receive medical care, attention and love to heal their bodies and spirits. Last year, Eva's Eden placed 281 cats and kittens in new homes, providing shelter, love and care to felines brought in from other overcrowded shelters in Washington state. In 2012, preliminary adoption numbers show an over 50% increase.

“We are really excited to launch this campaign and generate more interest in the lives of the felines that need our help,” said Nicole Walker, Eva’s Eden’s director. “We are committed to healing the cats and kittens we rescue in the greatest ways we can, and are grateful to everyone who commits to this project for supporting that vision."

Once Eva’s Eden cats and kittens are healthy, well, and ready to be adopted, they come to the beautiful cat shelter location in Blaine where they can meet their new families. Complete with murals, a life-size cat tree, stairways to heaven and skywalks, the shelter is a beautiful, comfortable place where families can bond with the feline that they choose to take home. In this welcoming and interactive environment, the whole family can play and visit, allowing the cat to pick them.

“People tell us every day what a magical, wonderful place we have, which is the best compliment we could receive,” continued Mrs. Walker. “Over and over, our adoptive families tell us that their new kitty is the best they’ve ever had. These kitties come from a place of death and sickness to a place of life and healing, and they really are grateful for it.”

About Eva’s Eden
Eva’s Eden, a registered 501(c)(3), was founded in 2011 after the death of a beloved pet, Eva. Inspired to create a place of healing and refuge for cats without homes or hope, Eva’s Eden was born from a place of sorrow and has become a place of joy. Working primarily with overcrowded shelters with high euthanasia rates, Eva's Eden takes in cats and kittens that would otherwise not have a chance at a happy life. Funded entirely by donation, the shelter provides medical attention and vaccines, spay and neuter surgeries and microchips to each kitty that is adopted to a new family.
