Venetian Builders, Inc., of Miami will expand the Florida House Experience, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center owned by Deerfield Florida House Inc., in Deerfield Beach, Broward County, Florida, by 592 square feet using aluminum sunroom additions, Venetian Builders President Christopher Noe announced today.
The project, which is undergoing permitting, will be done under a $40,000 contract.
Venetian Builders is the leading installer of quality sunrooms, patio covers, patio enclosures and screened patio enclosures in Deerfield Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Homestead and other South Florida communities.
Venetian will install two custom-designed, custom-fabricated aluminum sunroom additions to Florida House Experience. One will enclose 312 feet and the other, 280 square feet. They will replace screened enclosures that were destroyed by a hurricane.
“The sunrooms will be a fixed-glass type,” Noe said. “All the glass will be impact-rated for safety and frames will be strengthened for extra resistance to Florida hurricanes.”
The sunrooms at Florida House Experience will be finished in white. Venetian installs Deerfield Beach sunrooms, patio enclosures and screened pool enclosures with a white or bronze finish. The sunroom roofs will be aluminum.
The sunrooms at the rehabilitation center will comprise common areas.
“We designed the sunrooms so that residents of the center can use them as sitting and reading areas,” Noe explained. “Their use of the rooms won’t differ much from the uses that our residential sunroom customers typically apply to their spaces. Fixed-glass sunrooms are weather-tight and climate-controlled. They’re really usable just about every day and every night of the year.”
Venetian custom-designs and custom-fabricates each sunroom it installs. Venetian will use framing members with a heavier-gauge aluminum than is standard. “To the casual observer, they don’t look much different than the framing members on other sunrooms, but they carry a heavier wind load,” Noe said.
Economics is one reason for choosing the Venetian Builders sunroom as a way to add square footage, Noe said.
“Their savings in permitting and construction costs are becoming widely known,” Noe said. “They also take less time from planning to completion than do similar-sized structures built by traditional methods.”
