There are three points that stand out for the company behind Deep River Snacks and that’s Gluten-Free, American Made and Awareness. Deep River Snacks are committed to creating snacks that are certified gluten-free. All though the ingredients in every bag are all-natural, Deep River Snacks went through a certification process to ensure each snack met government standards of being truly gluten-free.

Deep River Snacks also take the American economy very seriously, especially when job growth has been at a slow rate of growth. The team behind Deep River Snacks mentions how they could have saved thousands of dollars if they had just switched to Chinese components but they didn’t because “it was the right thing to do.” Everything Deep River Snacks manufactures is made in the USA including the ingredients, the packaging and even their shirts!

“Deep River Snacks is more than just a bag of chips,” said a Deep River Representative. “We pride ourselves in doing right in everything we do.”

Finally, Deep River Snacks focuses on multiple different charities the company donates to. Each flavor of chips and snacks that Deep River offers highlights a different charity. Everyone knows of someone who has been affected by a certain disease or illness, that is why Deep River Snacks uses the packaging of each product to promote awareness for various charitable causes.

Back in 2007, Mark Andol had lost a multimillion dollar contract to a Chinese manufacturer at his steel fabrication facility, General Welding & Fabricating. The loss was so catastrophic; Mark was forced to lay off a third of his workforce just to stay afloat.

“It was one of the hardest things I had to do during the holiday season,” said Mark Andol. “Christmas just isn’t the same when you have to lay off your brother-in-law.”

Mark Andol, owner and creator of the Made In America Store, would like to let everyone know there is more to the store and the event than just a time to have fun. Mark makes it known to everyone that visits the store this time of year, it’s more important than ever to buy American.

“A lot of Americans don’t have jobs right now,” said Mark Andol. “If we can all spend just $64 this holiday, we can collectively create 200,000 US jobs. Feel better about your purchases that are American. Not only are you supporting a US based company, you’re saving and creating jobs this Christmas season.”
