Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) December 19, 2012
When Chandice and Josh Probst, Founders of Gluten Free Calendar began, they never knew how quickly this company would grow. Their print calendars are now available nationwide, right in time for holiday gift giving and their first event of 2013 will be held on February 2nd in San Antonio, TX. Chandice was diagnosed with celiac disease in May 2008 after years of emergency room visits for horrendous stomach pain and misdiagnoses. "With my diagnoses came great peace in knowing what the answer finally was" Probst said. In effort to raise money for the local non-profit Celiac Disease Foundation chapter which she founded shortly after diagnoses, she organized the first ever Gluten Free and Celiac Awareness Night with Arizona Diamondbacks. It was a smashing success with over 210 tickets sold and nearly $1,000 dollars raised for the non-profit. Josh and Chandice both felt that it didn’t seem fair that such a great event only take place in Arizona. With that thought and the need for finding all gluten free events in one place, by state and date, Gluten Free Calendar was born.
The word got out quick about what they were doing and grabbed the attention of the media including billion dollar investor, Mark Cuban. "We are grateful to have him as a mentor and partner in our company." Probst states. Recently the company released their first annual print gluten free calendar that featured influentials in the gluten free community including Olympic Gold Medalist, Dana Vollmer and Mrs. United States 2011 Shannon Ford. Gluten Free Calendar prides itself in being a give back company. "This calendar is another way to do that as it will raise proceeds for celiac and gluten sensitivity research and awareness" said Josh Probst.
In addition to being the place to find gluten free events, Gluten Free Calendar also plays host to Gluten Free and Celiac Awareness Nights with professional athletic teams around the nation. From California to Florida, you will be seeing their events all over the nation in 2013. They have teamed up with wonderful brands like Udi's Gluten Free and Glutino who will be title sponsors of the Gluten Free Calendar community celebrations which will take place before the awareness nights with the teams. Vendors, gift bags, special guest appearances and musical performances are just a few of the things that will be happening at these community celebrations. A children's art exhibit where local kids art showcasing how they are "Celebrating Celiac and the Gluten Free Life" will be displayed and available for sale. 100% of those art sales will be donated back to the Center for Celiac Research, who is the company's non-profit partner and primary beneficiary. Gluten Free Calendar is excited to host these events to raise proceeds and awareness for celiac disease and gluten sensitivity as well as accomplish their mission and company slogan of "Unity in the Gluten Free Community".
"No matter how far you are into your gluten free or celiac journey, please know that you are not alone. There is an amazing support system and it begins right here with Gluten Free Calendar. We will help you see the joy that can be found as you find ways to celebrate celiac and the gluten free life!” said Chandice Probst, Founder of Gluten Free Calendar.
