Employees of LKQ Corporation co-hosted a holiday party for approximately 400 children and their families at Shwab Elementary in Nashville, TN on Monday, December 17, 2012. Included were gift bags for each child, along with food and refreshments and even a Santa and Mrs. Claus who posed for pictures with the children.

"The Shwab Elementary staff appreciated the generosity of the LKQ Corporation and its employees," said Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, principal at Shwab Elementary. "Everyone really enjoyed this time together and the kids were especially excited to see Santa. LKQ demonstrated its corporate citizenship with the spirit of giving during this holiday season and we look forward to working together in 2013 with LKQ as one of our community partners."

"During the course of going through the recent approval process for our new self-serve facility in Nashville and talking to nearby businesses and residents, we discovered that Shwab Elementary has a tremendous challenge in serving this community," said Eileen A. Sottile, vice president, LKQ Government Affairs. "Many of our Nashville employees, corporate staff and others wanted to do something special during the holiday season for this school. We even had some of our staff dress up as Santa's elves and really enjoyed giving of their time to such a worthy cause."

LKQ is expanding its operation in Tennessee with a new self-serve facility at 2050 Lucas Lane that will generate dozens of high-quality jobs while benefiting residents living nearby by dramatically improving conditions on the site. The new facility will break ground in early 2013. Learn more about it at http://www.lkqintn.com.
