Localeze Business Information Integrated into Free Search Engine Tool for Small Businesses

GetListed.org, a company that provides small business owners with an efficient path to list their business correctly on the web's most important local search engines, announces the addition of Localeze to its local search engine optimization tool.

"We've been testing this integration over the course of the last several weeks and are really excited to bring it fully online," said David Mihm, GetListed.org President and CEO. "Providing business owners with an easy way to update their information at Localeze has been a goal of ours since Day One and it's gratifying to see this piece of the puzzle fall into place."

Widely considered by the local search community as one of the top data aggregators in the U. S., Localeze distributes business information to some of the top internet and mobile websites, including Facebook Places, Twitter Places, Bing, Yahoo, and Yellowpages.com. Popular local search sites like these may maintain their own indexes of small business information, but also rely on Localeze to authenticate and enhance that information. For business owners, failing to update major data aggregators such as Localeze can lead to customer confusion from duplicate or conflicting information on these sites.

Completeness and accuracy of basic information like business Name, Address, and Phone number across the web--abbreviated as "NAP" by Localeze Vice President of Market Development Gib Olander--is thought by experts to influence rankings on those sites, and possibly on Google Places.

To help users identify conflicting or missing “NAP” information more efficiently, GetListed.org has developed a new accuracy report that displays how a business is represented in 10 of the most important local databases, on a single screen. Business owners who find erroneous or missing information can then efficiently correct any errors or update missing information directly at the source.

“With this latest integration of Localeze and our previous inclusion of Infogroup, our accuracy reportoffers an actionable path for business owners to correct their local search identity with the most critical players in the local search ecosystem,” said Mihm.

Mihm indicated that GetListed.org will further enhance its accuracy report by displaying business information from additional local search engines later this Spring.

“Our overriding goal has always been to put power in the hands of the business owners and help themensure people searching for their business see correct, complete information on as many important local search sites as possible,” he said.
