Knoxville, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 22, 2012
KDL Pathology, a privately-held specialty pathology group that provides comprehensive testing for skin and ophthalmic disease, has announced that Dr. Joshua G. Gapp will be joining its team. Gapp comes to KDL from Nashville and will officially begin working on July 1.
After receiving his M.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Gapp completed his fellowship in dermatopathology as well as a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. While there he also served as chief resident in anatomic and clinical pathology.
In addition to practicing dermatopathology, Dr. Gapp is currently completing an executive MBA at Vanderbilt University. A member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Dermatopathology, Dr. Gapp was formerly a dermatopathologist with Associated Pathologists, an affiliate of PathGroup.
“Dr. Gapp is an excellent addition to our team,” said Dr. Paul Googe, physician and founder of Knoxville Dermatopathology Laboratory. “We are confident that his experience and background will be a positive addition to KDL, helping us to further our mission of providing high quality, physician-centered and patient-focused services to our clients.”
KDL, established in 1997 by Dr. Paul Googe, is the only accredited dermatopathology laboratory in East Tennessee. Trusted by physicians, patients and other laboratories alike for the most accurate and reliable pathology services, KDL dermatopathologists are board-certified by the American Boards of Pathology and Dermatology and are considered key opinion leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other skin disorders.
