The MRCWMF Scholarship will be awarded yearly to one Emergency Medicine (EM) resident and will provide $1000.00 toward travel expenses, free registration, and the option to give a lecture at a Wilderness Medical Society National Conference. This scholarship fund in Matt's name is a small tribute to honor his life and his memory.
The MRCWMF Scholarship will be an excellent resource for EM resident physicians who, like Matt, are inspired by the spirit of adventure, wilderness medicine, and the powerful beauty of nature. It provides exposure to national leaders in the field and the opportunity to actively take part in a National Annual Wilderness Medical Society Conference.
All US EM residents who have the support of their program director are eligible to apply. Completed applications include the application form, curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation (one from the program director), and a personal statement.
