Teeing it up for the sixth time starting at 12 p.m. Friday, July 20 and continuing at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 21, the Reynolds Cup Charity Challenge is being held at well-respected and highly ranked Twin Warriors Golf Club. The Reynolds Cup “Charity Challenge” is set up where the top three teams that win their flight in the first four flights of the golf tournament get to name the charity of their choice to receive the charity monies won by their team. The higher the team places, the more money their team gets to donate to the charity of their choice. The event is a featured business on Hutton Broadcasting radio stations. Hutton Broadcasting is the parent company of SantaFe.com.

The Ransom Reynolds Memorial Foundation was founded to assist other nonprofit organizations in the Santa Fe community with needs or expenses. Nonprofit organizations receiving donations last year from the Ransom Reynolds Memorial Foundation included the Santa Fe Children’s Museum, the American Cancer Society and the Santa Fe First Tee.

Twin Warriors Golf Club has received many accolades over the years. Golf Digest ranked it the 49th Best Public Golf Course in America and the 3rd Best Golf Course in New Mexico. Golf Magazine named it one of The Top 75 Golf Resorts in America.

The Reynolds Cup Charity Challenge Event Schedule is as follows:

July 20th
12 pm: Registration Begins at Twin Warriors
1 pm: Shotgun start for All Flights
5:30 Cocktail Party

July 21st
8 am: Continental Breakfast at Twin Warriors
9 am: Shotgun start all flights
Post Tournament: Lunch, and Awards Presentation

All players receive the following with entry fees: Greens fees, cart, range balls, tees. The format is a two- person team format for both days. Friday is a two-person Las Vegas scramble in which players select best tee shot and play their own ball from there. After the hole is completed the team marks the best score. Saturday is a four-ball format; each player plays their own ball and the team takes the best score. Maximum score on a hole is 2 over for Bosco & Blue flights. Participants are urged to help with a quick pace of play. Championship Flight: Suggested combined team handicap of 9.9 or less. First Bosco Flight: Suggested combined team handicap of 10 to 18. Second Blue Flight: Suggested combined team handicap of 18 to 28. Third Luna Flight: Combined team handicap of 28 plus. Ladies will play from the Red Tees. (5843 yards) USGA Handicaps will be verified for all players to establish flights. Unverified handicap teams will play in the Bosco Flight.
