ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City has partnered with Pearson as it launches the first program in Arizona State University’s efforts to offer a more affordable ASU option to students in local communities.
ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City offers lower tuition than traditional research universities and focuses exclusively on instruction in high-demand undergraduate degrees. Beginning this fall, the college will offer five bachelor degrees in life sciences, psychology, communications, organizational leadership and general studies.
Pearson is providing customizable eBooks, the Pearson LearningStudio online learning platform, and around-the-clock help desk support for students, faculty and administrators.
“ASU has a long and successful relationship with Pearson, and we knew we could depend on them to deliver the technology, content and services we need to bring more affordable and sustainable course materials to the students in Lake Havasu,” said David A. Young, Director of ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City.
“Our freshman year learning community will focus on the trans-disciplinary theme of Sustainable Cultures, of which the use of eBooks is an important component,” Young continued. “Moving forward, we will work closely with local school districts as well as the Mohave Community College to create pathways for more ASU degrees.”
