PreAccelerate Start-up Bootcamp Launches in Austin

Tech Ranch Austin and Napkin Venture team up to launch “PreAccelerate”, a pre-seed stage program for entrepreneurs that will begin on October 8th. This specialized boot camp is designed to help start-up founders build a plan and develop the skills required to take entrepreneurial ideas from napkin to reality.

Five entrepreneurs will be accepted into the program from the applicant pool. The winning company will receive funding of $5,000 in seed capital. Each company selected from the application pool will receive:

  • 6-week pre-accelerator boot camp
  • 5 topic- and task-specific classes (one per week) + demo day
  • One-on-one mentorship from entrepreneurs, executives and investors
  • Free legal organization docs (not including filing fees and expenses)
  • Free office space for duration of the boot camp
  • Access to Demo Day funding forum

“PreAccelerate is not another “accelerator.” There are plenty of great programs out there for companies that have a fully developed concept and business model,” said, Kevin Koym founder of Tech Ranch Austin. “This is for entrepreneurs that haven’t made it that far, and need tools and guidance to prepare for the next step.”
