A bogus online story has killed another celebrity. This time the web killed comedian Eddie Murphy reported altfg.com. And as it noticed that online bogus stories continue to pronounce celebrities dead with nobody being held responsible for it, GreenBeanBuddy commented that the death hoaxes shows the ugly side of the web.
Based on the report, the bogus story stated that Murphy, who is currently working on the television remake of Beverly Hills Cop, died of a snow boarding accident. It related that the hoax said the accident happened on Friday morning in Switzerland when the actor lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree.
More specifically, the false report detailed that the tragedy happened in Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland as shared by a separate report from allvoices.com. It added that the bogus story detailed the comedian was vacationing with his family and friends when the accident happened.
Below's an excerpt of the report Eddie Murphy Dead Says Bogus Story by GreenBeanBuddy.com.
“Last week, rumors spread that Bill Cosby has died although in truth, he was well and alive. This week another bogus story killed another Hollywood celebrity. For the nth time already, Eddie Murphy was falsely reported dead by a snow boarding accident.
According to reports, the hoax about Eddie's death was posted in The Global Associated News. It said that the accident involving the comedian happened in Switzerland last Friday morning. And just shortly after the website ran the said bogus story, Eddie Murphy's alleged death became a trending a topic on twitter.”
According to GreenBeanBuddy.com, online death hoax has killed Eddie Murphy several times already and has victimized many other celebrities. Sadly though, it stated that because of the anonymity on the web, no culprit had been held liable for the bogus stories. And that just shows one of the negative sides of the Internet, it concluded.
