With the addition of its “Media Manager” file upload capability, ABC Signup’s easy-to-use, feature-rich registration software just got richer. The new option enables users to supplement their programs or events by making multimedia and other large files accessible via the Internet.
Customers can use the tool to post a variety of files, including .mov, .wmv, .mp4, and more. These items can serve a number of purposes, including:

The media upload component integrates a hosting and encoding system into ABC Signup’s comprehensive registration software. The new system doesn’t time out during large and lengthy uploads. Access isn’t automatically blocked to many users as often is the case with free embedded video services. Instead, the administrator controls who has access to the video.
Media Manager users have a number of ways to manage and monitor activity around the uploaded files. First, the files can be made available to registrants via two different paths. In one, an administrator can assign persons or groups to have access to media files. Persons may have unlimited access, or the administrator can limit access to a date range.
The administrator’s view includes a log that details which registrants have been granted access. It also shows who has not initiated access, who has started, the individual’s viewing progress, and who has completed watching or listening to the multimedia file.
Media Manager reporting tools can provide a multimedia access report as well as a media view report.
“This newest tool is yet another example of a software enhancement that evolved from a customer asking ‘what if’,” said Chandler. “While it is somewhat of a niche product, we believe there is a strong market for it and it will compliment additional software developments we will unveil in the coming months.”
