Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Select ledsSuite for Public Safety Software Upgrade

The Rapid City Police Department, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and Pennington County Emergency Services Communication Center of South Dakota have selected ledsSuite public safety software from Zuercher Technologies to upgrade their current system.

The Rapid City Police Department, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and Pennington County Emergency Services Communication Center of South Dakota have selected ledsSuite public safety software from Zuercher Technologies to upgrade their current system. The selection comes after a more than two-year review process of the industry’s leading software providers.

The system to be installed is multi-jurisdictional, so that all the agencies can configure items to meet their needs, but still share data. The system includes computer-aided dispatch (CAD), records management (RMS), mobile CAD and RMS, jail management (JMS), civil process tracking, financial tracking, crime analysis, reporting, and more. The system will also provide integrated reporting to state data sharing initiatives, such as ConnectSD and the South Dakota Incident-Based Reporting System (SD NIBRS). These state systems are also provided by Zuercher Technologies, which means that reporting to them will be easier and more accurate than before.

The new ledsSuite system will eliminate many of the challenges they had encountered in the past and allow them to configure the system to operate optimally for their agencies. One of the goals of the new system is to revamp the current property and evidence tracking process. With an integrated barcode scanner and printer, ledsSuite provides an efficient tracking system with a comprehensive chain of custody log and auditing functionality.
