New York, NY (PRWEB) December 29, 2012
BLB released their statement this week following an article that appeared on CNN's travel section listing seven “tucked away” hotels around the world that aim at pleasing their guests by offering a sense of seclusion close to all the action.
New York is among some of the world's largest cities are where millions of visitors head to every year and while the busyness of a large city is often what attracts those visitors many still crave some peace and quiet at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Seven very different hotels were named some of the best at offering a getaway, including the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, Sumahan on the Water in Istanbul and Hotel Santa Teresa in Rio de Janeiro.
The pick of Hotel Americano in New York as one of the getaway hotels pleases BLB, who sees the announcement as an excellent opportunity to show that the city that never sleeps can still offer guests a relaxing place to rest. The hotel, located in East Chelsea and within easy walking distance of the ever popular Meatpacking District, also offers a rooftop pool atop the meager 10-story building that is used as a hot tub in cooler months.
The Meatpacking District began it's transformation in the late 1990s and in 2004 was named the most fashionable neighborhood by New York Magazine. The opening of Tenjune, co-owned by nightlife mogul Mark Birnbaum, in 2006 helped transform the area in to a top nightlife destination.
While there are many great hotels in New York few can offer the peace found at Hotel Americano according to a recent article by CNN. Hotel Americano made the list by offering close proximity to some of the hottest galleries, restaurants and bars all the while offering a modest 56 rooms, a rooftop pool and a terrace eatery.
