Minnesota-based yoga instructor Vincent Butler will on Saturday, July 21, offer a workshop called “Expand Your Horizons With Kundalini Yoga.” Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic, core-strengthening style of yoga that combines chanting, meditation and poses in sets called kriyas. Each class is done with the eyes closed almost the entire time, and includes a relaxation period in which a symphonic gong is played.
In Butler’s workshop, he will teach participants about the Ten Bodies, a system in Kundalini Yoga designed to awaken and strengthen the mind, body and spirit. Students will learn a particular set of exercises called Awakening the Ten Bodies, and a kind of meditation called Laya Yoga.
The workshop, which takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., costs $25. To sign up, go to yogasoul-center.com - or click this link.

YogaSoul student Tawny Greene said she has been practicing Kundalini Yoga for less than a year, and she has seen dramatic results.
“I am attracted to how Kundalini Yoga addresses not only the physical, but the emotional and spiritual aspects of life, and how to improve what we experience in our hectic and demanding lives,” Greene said. “The results? My energy and focus have increased while my stress has decreased. I feel much more effective in my work and personal life.
