JDRF is honored to receive this support and partner with such a great cause! These children are creating the change in the world. Together, they will help us find a cure for T1D, and that’s one change that millions of people around the world would love!
Farmington, CT (PRWEB) October 09, 2012
ArtStamps, a leading fundraising company for non-profit organizations across America, today announced it has partnered with Jerry’s Artarama, a worldwide art supplier to promote the “One Change Art Challenge“ for artists who would like to make a difference in the world.
Participants are encouraged to sketch, color or paint One Change they would like to make in the world. Each image needs to include a One Change statement that should clearly be displayed on the top of the image. The image should then creatively communicate their One Change statement.
The challenge is open to all artists in grades K-12. There will be 1 winner per age group, for a total of 4 grand prize winners. On November 12, 2012 all participating images will be displayed (by age group) on the ArtStamps' website. The community will then vote for their favorite images. The top 4 images that receive the most votes (per age group) will proceed to the judges’ panel on December 12, 2012 for final voting. Prizes include: gift cards, art sets and supplies.
A percentage of proceeds from the artwork purchased from the challenge will be donated to the JDRF. JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Sarah Blackmon, Development Manger at JDRF, states,“ JDRF is honored to receive this support and partner with such a great cause! These children are creating the change in the world. Together, they will help us find a cure for T1D, and that’s one change that millions of people around the world would love!”
“We are proud to partner with Jerry’s Artarama and encourage children to express themselves and create the change they want to see in the world,” said JoAnn Ippolito, COO of ArtStamps. “It is also a great way to provide the finalists with quality art supplies from a company that has been empowering artists since 1968, as well as, provide donations to the important work of JDRF.
“We are thrilled to be teaming up with ArtStamps,” said Michael Marchetta, Director of Marketing Operations at Jerry’s Artarama. “ArtStamps is committed to art education and we knew it was a perfect fit to continually inspire artists’ creativity and talent. Supporting JDRF is near and dear to my heart, and I’m grateful for all that they do!”
