Supporting local initiatives to help encourage the growth and development of Long Beach is very meaningful to our team.
New York, New York (PRWEB) December 14, 2012
New York based Criterium-Tauscher Cronacher Professional Engineers will sponsor the Long Live Long Beach benefit relief concert on December 19th from 6:00pm until 11:00pm at Mulcahy’s Pub and Music Hall in Wantagh, Long Island. “Long Live Long Beach” was established to empower and assist the many families, businesses, agencies, organizations and schools that have been significantly impacted by the recent storm that devastated Long Beach, Island Park and its surrounding areas. Proceeds of the benefit will go to the Long Live Long Beach fund and be distributed to local charities including the City of Long Island Beach Relief Fund and Toys of Hope.
The event organizer , co-host and lead musician of Benior and the Long Beach All Stars, Benjamin Metzger, along with radio personality Halftime Howie continue the philanthropic initiative started by Howie Appel. The show is known for bringing the Long Beach community together by supporting local charities, producing awareness events and delivering donations where they are most needed. Residents, musicians and local businesses are eager to promote rebuilding efforts and the initiative to unify Long Beach after the recent crisis. Event co-host, Halftime Howie, will broadcast the event live from his radio show at the 29 year old concert hall. Through music, community support and radio broadcasts Long Live Long Beach endeavors to support those who lost their homes and businesses. Metzger, also known as Benior, will perform an original piece about super storm Sandy, Long Live Long Beach, dedicated to the the locals impacted by the storm and the island that he calls home.
Appel and Metzger's interests in helping locals impacted by Sandy inspires the team in their effort . Metzger sympathizes with families and artists forced to abandon their residences due to storm damage. "I lost power for a little but so many people lost their homes and were forced to vacate where they were living. We feel like it's our duty to come together and to do what we can to help everybody else. The movement is really inspired by Howie's show on WGBB. He gets the word out about services and goods and bringing people together to celebrate Long Beach and the surrounding areas."
The event is being sponsored by Criterium-Tauscher Cronacher Professional Engineers who were also impacted by the recent disaster. The firm is spending a tremendous amount of time and resources working with residents, Condo Associations and the town to help assist in the rebuilding of the hardest hit areas. The company has a long history of providing Engineering services to the Long Beach area.
Criterium-Tauscher Cronacher’s COO, Richard Koller, indicates the importance of supporting community growth. “The storm really hit home. Mr. Cronacher, our founding engineer, my family and I have all owned homes and lived in long Beach in the recent past and our firm is here. Supporting local initiatives to help encourage the growth and development of Long Beach is very meaningful to our team. We do it because it feel good. Sponsoring an event to help rebuild the damage that impacted clients, friends and families is just the right thing to do.”
Rebel Soul, Steel Horse, Caira Charlotte, Milestone and Golden Axe Attack will perform along with other local musical performers on familiar stomping grounds and will be joined by DJ Chef, best known for his appearance on the Food Network’s What’s Hot! What’s Cool! as a guest chef, dj and event producer. The evening’s line up includes a total of thirteen bands many of whom have helped pioneer Long Beach Music Coalition, an organization with a mission to connect local musicians to marketing and promotional resources.
The organizers hope music and good times may raise morale and community efforts to rebuild. The fund is being managed by Steven Vaccaro. Advance tickets are available online or in person the day of the event for the music event that looks to boost hopes of affected locals.
