Lake Shore Cryotronics will exhibit at the Magnetics 2013 conference Feb. 7–8 in Orlando, Florida. The conference, sponsored by Magnetics Business & Technology Magazine, brings together worldwide magnetics experts to share advancements in magnetics markets, applications, technologies and materials.
Lake Shore magnetics expert Jeff Dierker will demonstrate the company’s gaussmeter and fluxmeter product lines. Lake Shore gaussmeters are used in prominent magnetics research, such as MIT’s nuclear fusion program, and in quality assurance for manufacturers who produce magnets, magnetic assemblies and accessories that must hold to tight tolerances. Gaussmeter Models 455, 460 and 475 offer probe-dependent field ranges from 35 mG to 350 kG, AC and DC measurement, and basic DC accuracy ranging as high as ±0.05%. The Model 425 desktop gaussmeter is designed for the demanding quality control needs of the permanent magnet industry. The Model 410 handheld gaussmeter offers resolution to 3½ digits (1 part out of ±2000) and accuracy of ±2% of reading.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about Lake Shore’s VSM line as well as newly-acquired Princeton Measurement Corporation (PMC) MicroMag™ magnetometers. Lake Shore VSM systems are used to characterize the DC magnetic properties of materials as a function of magnetic field, temperature, and time. The expansion of the magnetometer product line provides research customers with workhorse and specialty capabilities.
