The affordable 3D workshop was held at the Screen producers’ conference in Wellington on November 23, 2012. The workshop was presented by Karl and Ronel Schodt from Shotz productions to showcase current trends in 3D technology and how you don’t have to have huge budgets in order to film and distribute in 3D. They demonstrated that the workflow that most companies are currently using have the technology to already support 3D production.
The entire presentation for the workshop was conducted using the Presente3D, stereoscopic 3D add-on for Microsoft PowerPoint, which gave the session a unique and compelling view.
“The audience reaction was extremely positive with attendees noting an enhanced sense of engagement with the content. There were no reports of discomfort and we were really pleased with the response” says Karl Schodt, Shotz Productions.
The setup of the software and the delivering of the 3D presentation were extremely easy. The installation of the plug- in to actually creating a 3D presentation with the software was extremely fast. The ease of use within the software made the creation of the 3D content intuitive with the ability to view the 3D in real-time on our 3D monitor right in front of us.
“We are happy that attendee’s to the workshop were able to see how easy and affordable Presente3D is for creating 3D presentations. The reactions from the audience and the feedback we received were great to see.” says Dennis Cafiero, Founder/CEO, Presente3D.
As a special gift for attending the workshop, four members of the audience were presented with a full license of Presente3D to use to develop their own 3D presentations.
Presente3D, is an affordable and easy to use 3D add-on for Microsoft PowerPoint that allows users with no or little knowledge of 3D to create 3D presentations from their existing 2D presentations. Presente3D provides support for 3D display technology ranging from 3DTV's, 3D-enabled projectors, auto-stereo displays and new 3D tablet devices. The technology foundation for developing 3D presentations was to give users the ability to use their existing PowerPoint presentations and transform them into 3D in minutes. The resulting presentation can then be easily viewed on any 3D display available on the market. Integration directly into Microsoft PowerPoint allows organizations large and small the ability to more effectively visually communicate, collaborate and accelerate knowledge transfer with a software package that they are already familiar with.
