Now that the U.S. Congress has passed the Federal Aviation Administration Modernization and Reform Act, thousands of unmanned drones are slated to appear in American skies by 2015, according to a recent U.S. News Weekly article.
Power4Patriots believes that drone technology should be used to keep U.S. citizens safe, not to spy on, scare or entrap people. The company also encourages citizens to let their lawmakers know how they feel about it.
Best known for teaching people how to build their own environmentally-friendly sources of energy so that they can slash their power bills and be safe when power outages occur, Power4Patriots will soon launch a new arm called Privacy4Patriots, designed to help people maintain their privacy during an age of unprecedented technological advancements that have already been used to compromise the privacy of U.S. citizens.
The company concurs with U.S. Representative Austin Scott, a Georgia Republican, who was quoted in the June 16, 2012, edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution as saying, “We’re not opposed to the use of drones. But their use has to be consistent with the established rules with regard to search and seizure. The same thing that you would have to obtain to use a wiretap, you would have to have for the use of a drone. This has the potential to be a huge invasion.”
