I feel so blessed to have received the acknowledgement and recognition.

Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) January 02, 2013

Jessilyn Park is a new artist on the scene in the juried art show circuit in Florida. In fact, she's a new artist altogether. She only recently began painting in December of 2011, and decided to start applying to juried art shows across the state of Florida. To her surprise, she was accepted into almost all the ones she applied to.

She began showcasing her art in September of 2012 at the Downtown Venice Labor Day Festival and quickly swept through the state of Florida. She showcased her work in Punta Gorda, The Villages, Maitland, Stuart, Winter Springs, Ocala, Clermont, Deland, Naples, Englewood, Ana Maria Island and Downtown Delray Beach.

She traveled to these juried art festivals during the weekend all while working a 40 hour-a-week corporate job. In October of 2012, she finally broke the corporate handcuffs to be a full time artist.

During her first season participating in juried art shows, she brought home a Patron Award from the Winter Springs Festival of the Arts, an Award of Excellence from the Downtown Clermont Art Festival and a 3rd Place in the Painting Category from the Englewood Winter Fine Arts Festival.

Her first show of 2013 is at the Estero Fine Art Festival in Estero, Florida January 5th and 6th. "I feel so blessed to have received the acknowledgement and recognition," Park says of her awards.
