Attorney John Morgan has been named one of “The 25 Most Powerful People in Central Florida” by a panel of community leaders. Mr. Morgan was named fifth on the list, marking an improvement on last year’s position, which he held at number 16.

For the ninth straight year, Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell assembled the list as chosen by a group of nine leaders from non-profit, political and business communities. The article noted not only Mr. Morgan’s success in running one of the country’s largest personal injury law firms, but also his charity work, political ties and expansive business endeavors.

In 1988, Mr. Morgan founded Morgan & Morgan, a law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful. Today, the firm has grown to include more than 200 attorneys in 15 office locations, including New York, Atlanta, and Jackson, Miss. Guided by the motto “For the People,” Morgan & Morgan handles cases nationally involving personal injury, medical malpractice, consumer class action, and securities fraud, as well as litigation against drug and medical device manufacturers.
