e-Builder is not a one-size -fits-all solution; their implementation team is working directly with us to create a system that complements our existing processes which will be adaptable to our future requirements.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) January 08, 2013
The Howard Hughes Corporation (NYSE: HHC) has selected e-Builder, the pioneer in fully integrated, cloud-based construction program management software, to provide a comprehensive project management solution for their commercial and residential properties across the United States. The Design, Construction and Development departments will be using e-Builder Enterprise™ to manage their on-going multi-million dollar capital construction program.
Prior to the procurement of e-Builder, The Howard Hughes Corporation was looking for ways to improve project visibility. For instance, document management was done in an ad-hoc manner, making it difficult to gather up-to-date information and provide accurate reporting. The Howard Hughes Corporation looked for a construction program management software solution to provide a comprehensive tool to not only manage their large projects, but to offer a single source for document storage and provide collaboration amongst executives and project teams.
“As a national development company with current projects covering eighteen states and with multiple project delivery teams located in various geographic locations, The Howard Hughes Corporation searched for a project management software tool that would allow for collaborative communications between project delivery team members, and would become the cloud repository for all project-related drawings and data,” said Peter Doyle, Executive Vice President for The Howard Hughes Corporation.
“The tool also needed to provide reports to the company executives on metrics they care the most about. Our goal was to select a system that would greatly increase the productivity of our development team members while at the same time being easy to use and customizable,” said Doyle. “e-Builder is not a one-size -fits-all solution; their implementation team is working directly with us to create a system that complements our existing processes which will be adaptable to our future requirements.”
e-Builder will be integrating with the company’s financial system, J.D. Edwards, to provide further clarity and foresight into the capital construction program. The integration will help the company avoid unnecessary man hours spent duplicating data entry in to multiple systems. Schedules, submittals and other tools and processes will be used by the Howard Hughes project teams to manage the nation-wide construction effort.
“The Howard Hughes Corporation is a leading development and management firm in North America and we are pleased they will harness e-Builder’s capabilities to manage their construction programs,” said Jon Antevy, Co-Founder, e-Builder.
