Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) January 07, 2013
Capstone Development Partners, LLC, a national student housing developer, donated $25,000 to the Lock Haven University Foundation following the successful completion of their new, on-campus student housing development, Fairview Suites, on the Lock Haven University campus in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
The donation establishes the Capstone Development Partners Student Scholarship, which will be available to any Lock Haven University student living on campus. The scholarship was created to provide scholarship funding for students enrolled at Lock Haven University and to recognize achievements of those students living in on-campus residential facilities.
Keith Barrows, Executive Director of the Lock Haven University Foundation, said, “The Foundation is grateful for the generosity of Capstone Development Partners in establishing this scholarship. In a world where financing an education is becoming more difficult for students, scholarships often make an undergraduate education possible. Capstone’s investment in our students through the scholarship shows that it is a company that truly understands the benefits of higher education.”
The scholarship will be awarded as three (3) $1,000 awards, annually until the scholarship balance reaches zero. Criteria to be selected for the Capstone Development Partners Student Scholarship includes: a student must be in good academic standing, live in Fairview Suites or another Lock Haven University on campus residence hall, be an active participant in clubs, service organizations or varsity athletics, and represent the quality and character that went into the construction of Fairview Suites.
