Charity Fundraising Packages is pleased to partner with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Vancouver (JCCGV) for their upcoming 20th Anniversary Sports Dinner and auction on February 7th. The organizations teamed up to raise funds for the JCCGV which supports the greater Vancouver community.
The JCCGV is a non-profit community center that provides programming for all ages from early childhood education to at-risk teens to senior citizens. The JCCGV was founded in 1928 and also provides Jewish programs to the Vancouver community.
Dayna Backus, Event Coordinator for the 2013 Sports Dinner comments, “We’re thrilled to be working with Charity Fundraising Packages for this very special event. We will be celebrating 20 years of exceptional programming and community service throughout 2013 with the Sports Dinner as our headline event for the Center. Charity Fundraising Packages has provided us with a unique selection of auction items that our guests will love.”
The Sports Dinner will begin with a cocktail hour and a showcase of more than 100 large auction items for bid during a silent auction. Following, will be a three-course sit down dinner and a presentation of the 2013 Jack Diamond Sports Personality of the Year Award. This year’s recipients include Jake Kerr and Jeff Mooney. A live auction featuring exceptional items like a Cadillac ATS and once in a lifetime trips will close the evening.
Phillip Ryan, Director of Media Relations for Charity Fundraising Packages adds, “The JCCGV continues to be creative with their live auction ideas. Each year they offer a “Support a Cause” item. This “item” provides guests with an opportunity to bid a monetary amount that will be donated to a specific need in the Vancouver community. In the past, these “Support a Cause” items have helped to provide scholarships or assistance to families in need. We’re thrilled to partner with the JCCGV and provide auction items for their 20th anniversary celebration.”
Charity Fundraising Packages provides auction items including autographed music, sports and movie memorabilia as well as VIP experiences and spectacular vacation packages to non-profits on a zero risk consignment basis. Auction items are shipped to the non-profit completely free of charge and ready for display. If there are any items that do not sell, the non-profit simply returns the items and Charity Fundraising Packages even covers the shipping costs.
“We’re excited to announce that baseball great Cal Ripken Jr. will be our keynote speaker at this very special event,” comments Backus. “Ripken’s name has become synonymous with strength, character, perseverance and integrity, all of the qualities we try to instill in the community we serve.” The 2013 Sports Dinner will be held at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency in Downtown Vancouver.
