The New Garmin 610 Colors in White and Aqua Blue For Those Wanting More Color Than Black

For distance running the Garmin 610 offers more data metrics, easier touch screen navigation and better analysis software for serious runners than any other GPS watch going

Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) January 06, 2013

The Garmin Forerunner 610 still has no peers amongst running GPS watches according to the Heart Rate Watch Company for 2 years running.

"For distance running the Garmin 610 offers more data metrics, easier touch screen navigation and better analysis software for serious runners than any other GPS watch going", says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "It's compact size, day-to-day useability and tremendous analysis software make it a notch above all its competition".

GARMIN CONNECT

Garmin Connect software offers elevation correction and altitude accuracy in post run analysis that is second to none. "The player function in Garmin Connect has no peers as it allows you to pinpoint all metrics - heart rate, pace, distance and more - at every point along your route", says Squire. he adds, "No other software can do this and Smartphones don't have nearly as accurate a GPS, not yet anyway".

Perhaps ultra-marathon and events that last longer than 7 hours are about the only place the Garmin 610 needs a watch like the Garmin Forerunner 910XT to take over because of the significant battery life differential.

So many of the other GPS watches like Nike, Motorola, Polar, and all the big names have not evolved to the level of features and software platform that Garmin possesses according to Squire. "I'd say the closest second for pure runners would be the new Suunto Ambit", Says Squire. He adds, "The Polar RC3 GPS is nice for on-board data but Polar still does not have anything like Garmin Connects player function or altitude correction".

NEW COLOR

The Garmin Forerunner 610 also comes in a new white and blue color that has been of more interest to women then the standard black unit.

Some of the next frontiers will involve voice activation, live pairing with training software's for pacing and other features that would take the user experience to the next level according to Squire.

The Garmin 610 currently comes with a complimentary foot pod at the Heart Rate Watch Company which is a $50 value. "The foot pods are helpful in the winter for indoor workouts, where GPS does not work, and for getting foot fall data outdoors", says Squire.
