Following in the footsteps of science fiction giants Asimov, Clarke and Heinlein, author Natsuya Uesugi delivers a solidly engaging novel that will by turns regale and thrill readers. As the first installment of a riveting saga, Uesugi’s grydscaen: beginnings follows the journey of Lino, Riuho, and Faid.

Faid is tired of life on the run in the Echelons, trying to keep his psychic power in check, he founds the Packrats establishing a safe haven for psychics. Lino is recruited by the Psi Faction and is sent on a mission to kidnap Faid. Riuho, Lino’s half brother becomes a prisoner of the Elite military and they experiment on him, train him and subject him to mind control, sending him out on a mission. On his return, Riuho is set on escaping and recruits Faid who hacks into the Psi Faction systems.

Page after page, grydscaen: beginnings is filled with action-packed scenes coupled with the futuristic appeal of sci-fi stories. With his richly detailed subplots and fast-paced style of narration, Uesugi never fails to entertain readers of all ages in this masterfully-told fiction.
